At 21.00 hrs., the Squadron assembled in No. 3 Hangar where the Roll of missing personnel was read by the Squadron Commander, the occasion being the eve of the second anniversary of the Squadron’s 1st operational sortie from Great Britain.

5 a/c detailed to attack WILHELMSHAVEN. This day was the 2nd Anniversary of the Squadron’s 1st Operational sortie from Gt. Britain, and was celebrated in the following manner. 09.00 hrs. Holy Mass in the Station Chapel. 12-15 hrs. Lunch – The Station Commander was present as aware the C.O.’s of 300, 303 and 305 Squadrons.

E., showed great presence of mind by removing a photo-flash that had fused in a/c G.R. 1375 and with complete disregard for his own safety. 1 a/c had usual tests. Lectures were held on “Aircraft recognition”, and further lectures were held for A.G.’s on range estimation. The crew were engaged on cock-pit drill.
