Weather fine. Practice flying. P/O. Glowczynski´s aircraft P.3927 caught fire at 6,000 feet Pilot seeing no fire tried to land. He was thrown out of the aircraft badly burnt. Aircraft Cat 3. Accident took place at Wheel, Nr.Boverley. Pilot admitted to Beverley Base Hospital.

Weather fair. Green Section “B” Flight, sighted e/a at 1910hours, flying at 3,000 ft East between Hull and Spurn Point. Section attacked and e/a crasched into the sea 6 miles S.W. of Withernsea. 4 prisoner taken. This was Squadrons first engagement with the enemy.
F/Lt´s Czerny and Wczelik and P/O´s Gnys, Krol, Malinski, Czerniak, Zukowski and Sgt. Pilots Lysek, Kosarz, Beda and Nowakiewicz posted from No. 3 Polish Wing.

Weather Dull. Practice flying. P/O. Carter attached to 302 from 73 Squadron. Whilst on patrol with blue section, P/O. Chalupa attacked and shot down a Ju.88. previously another Ju.88 had been shot down by Section. On returning to base P/O. Chalupa noticed white smoke pouring from his engine. He tried to glide in but wind prevented his reaching drome. Forced landed in ploughed field adjacent. Pilot uninjured. Aircraft Cat.3. Aircraft P.3934.
