One Me.109 destroyed by “A” Flight at 10.15 hours. Attack delivered over Canterbury at 25 – 16.000 ft. One Me destroyed over Maidstone at at 15.00 hours.

P.3812 Squadron Leader Satchell returning from enemy action, forced landed in a field in the Slough Building Estate, owing to holed petrol tank and guages being shot trough. Pilot uninjured. Aircraft undamaged and after refuelling, flew back to Northolt.
R.2684 P/O. Malinski forced landed in a very rough field with unde r- carriage up,trough engine failure at 22.000 ft. Aircraft was Cat.2 and pilot was uninjured.
P.2752. Sgt. Wedzik was flying in blue section at 20.000 ft, when he was attacked and shot down in flames by a Messerschmidt 109. The aircraft cr ashed Nr. Chatham but the pilot escaped by jumping by parachute.
P.3935. Sgt. Kosarz returning from patrol struck a balloon cable, owing t o very bad visibility, cloud and mist. 14” was of his starboard mainplane. The aircraft started to spin but the pilot was able to right it and landed perfectly at Heston aerodrome. The aircraft was in no other way damaged.

Weather Dull. V.6763 F/L. Czerny forced landed in a field through lo sing his way on return to base after patrol. Aircraft was slightly damaged but could have taken off had there been sufficient room. Pilot uninjured. Sgt. Zaluski killed when aircraft overturned when forced landing in a f ield at Colliera End. Aircraft Cat.2.
P/O. Borowski reported from No. 5 O.T.U.

One Ju.88 probably destroyed by “A” Flight. Two of crew seen to bale out and aircraft last seen disappearing in the could in a gentle dive earthwards.
P.3872. P/O. Wapniarek. Crashed whilst returning from patrol at Thames Ditton Cat.3. Pilot killed – cause unknown. Very bad weather at ti me.
P/O. Carter aircraft P.3931 crashed at Kempton Race Course. Pilot jum ped
Out at 5 ft. minus parachute – killed instantly. Aircraft Cat.3.
P/O. Borowski killed on Kempton Park Race Course, near P/O. Carter Crash ed at high. speed and burnt out. Returning from patrol and got lost.
P/O. Zukowski crashed V.6571 at Bluebell Hill. Pilot killed. Returning from patrol and it is assumed that he got lost and ran out of petrol.

“A” Flight attacked and damaged one Me.109 and one Me.109 was a probabl e.
Attack was delivered over Bologne at 8-9,000 feet at 11.30 hours.

P.3086 F/L. Thomson crashed after colliding with another aircraft in mid-air. Aircraft was Cat.3 as pilot had to bale out. Aircraft was c ut in half. Pilot slightly injured on hidning by parachute. Investigation stated error of judgement on pilots part – F/L. Thomson.
