Two Polish sentries, AC.1. Kwisiuk, A. and AC.2. Szukalski, W. reported to Operations that they could see parachutists (actually a barrage balloon which had broken loose). Landing practice in morning under F/Lt. Kennard and F/O. Young on Battle and Master. 6 Flights – 3 hours 5 minutes. Afternoon raining, no flying. F/Lt. Tennant arrived.

The two Polish sentries were complimented by S/Ldr. Scoot. Landing practice continued under S/Ldr. Scoot, F/O. Young and F/O. Barr on Battle and Master. 14 Flights totaling 6 hours. Evening – First solo flight in Hurricane – F/O. Słoński, 15 minutes. Master u/s.

7 Flights only. Total 3 ½ hours practice and 40 minutes Hurricane by F/O Słoński. 4 Polish Officer Pilots Zieliński, Rutkowski, Zulikowski, Langhamer and two Sergeant Pilots Pudrycki, and Machowiak, arrived. Polish Ensign hoisted, with due ceremony, on Station mast.
