14.25. 12 pilots from 306 took off from Base for Squadron’s cross-country navigation. Squadron was led by F/Lt. J. Smigielski, D.F.C. and later by F/Lt. H. Skalski on route: Base – Brighton – Lyme – Regis – Base. All a/c landed at 17.05 without accident. P.2302 F/O Bieniada and P.705649 F/Sgt. J. Gajewski granted 3 months unpaid leave for study.

16.00. Air Vice Marhall M. Izycki visited our Station. In honour of the occasion squadron together with 309 and 315 Sqdns, took part in air display. 9 pilots from 306 took off at 16.00 hrs. Wing was led by C.O. of 306 Sqd. All a/c landed in formation, without accident at 16.35.
