H.Q. Fighter Command Signal dated 24.08.40. addressed to R.A.F. station, Kirton-in-Lindsey advises formation of No. 307 (Polish) (Figter) Squadron. Squadron to form at Kirton-in-Lindsey on 5th September, 1940, and to be equipped with Hurricane aircraft.
