09.45 – TARGET-BOMB RAILWAY-LAIGLE-ST.GAUBUEGE & ARMED RECCE. 35 aircraft from 129,306 and this squadron took part in this operation. This squadron consist of (8 bomber and 4 fighter).
Weather: - 9/10 at 1500 ft top 11000 ft. Vis. 10 Miles.

16.30 – PATROL OVER BEACHY HEAD. 2 Mustangs 111 of this squadron took off for this operation, which was not carried out and the aircraft were recalled to base.
20.05 – 84G/70 – SWEEP EVREUX area. 12 aircraft of this squadron took off for this operation. One aircraft returned engine trouble.
Weather: - 2/10 at 4000ft. Vis. 20 Miles.

11.15 – ARMED RECCE. 24 aircraft from 306,129 and this squadron took part in this operation. This squadron consisted of (8 bomber and 4 fighter cover).
Weather: - FRENCH coast – 10/10 at 2500 – 3000ft. Inland further south 8-10/10 breaking. Another layer of 7-9/10 at 8000ft. West of target cloudy. Visibility, bellow clouds 10/12 miles. Over Channel deterioting generally. 1 aircraft test and 1 air to sea.

Intercepted at Newchurch, diver crashed and exploded, at H.2869 in weeds at 06.40 hours. Before opening fire 2 TEMPEST aircraft at long range opened fire without results. One Diver destroyed by F/S BERKA at R.1075. One Diver destroyed by S/L Horbaczewski one Mile south of Hythe at 10.55 hours.

15.00 – Operation No.74. 9 Mustangs 111´s of this squadron took off for this operation. Coastal roadstad No.74, which went according to plan.

Weather:- Cloudy, rain by 10.00 hours. Vis. 1/3 miles under stratus, less than 500 yards in stratus.
W/O T.Tamowicz Pilot, admitted to R.A.F. Hospital, Halton, before proceeding to (N.E. Sick) Hawkinge 11 Group.

16.00 – 10 Mustangs 111 of this squadron took off for operation escort to 48 Beaufighters (torpedo carrier and Anti flak). 4 of our aircraft returned to base, one mechanical trouble and 3 weather trouble. The remaining 6 aircraft carried on with operation. These 6 aircraft encountered 15 enemy planes. Shot down 6 ME.109, 1 ME110 and 1 FW190.
F/O Nowosielski slightly injured on return from this operation.
24 aircraft test and local flying.
Weather:- Very misty, patches of cloudaround 4000ft, sunny. Very foggy on return from the above operation with layer of cloud.
Received telegram of congratulation from Sector Commander, Biggin Hill on magnificient show our aircraft on Diver Patrol.
Received Sig. from A.O.C. H.Q. No. 16 Group conveying A.O.C. thanks to the Pilots of detachment of this squadron who to-day so ably supported his recco in force in most difficult circumstances. Also from Group Capt. Stannard.
